State-of-the-Art Facility

Our advanced manufacturing facility is strategically located in Verna Industrial Estate, Goa, covering 8,000 sq. meters. Designed for both scale and precision, the facility integrates high-capacity production with in-house test ranges and laboratories. With a production capacity of 80 million rounds annually, Hughes Precision is equipped to support large-scale defence requirements while ensuring precision and reliability in every round manufactured.

World-Class Inspection Systems

We operate the world’s fastest and most accurate ammunition inspection system, meeting stringent MIL-STD and SAAMI standards.
Key features include:

·         Eight-camera systems for defect detection (scratches, dents, taper folds, perforations).

·         3D vision systems for primer depth, mouth diameter, and anvil height.

·         Laser micrometry for diameter and overall length checks.

·         Eddy-current testing for metallurgical consistency.

·         High throughput — up to 300 parts per minute.

High-Speed Loading & Priming Systems

·         SAAMI Z299.3 — pistol and revolver standards.

·         MIL-DTL-1217 — armor-piercing cartridges.

·         MIL-DTL-3066 — armor-piercing incendiary rounds.

·         MIL-P-3984 — propellant specifications.

Testing Capabilities

·         Ballistic testing in 10% ordnance gelatin (bare, clothed, steel, plywood, laminated glass).

·         Recoil and velocity testing with tri-axial acceleration and high-speed camera analysis.
